Train the trainer – Sponsored by The Key
David WestonAcklam Green Centre Free 4011 Oct 2016 13:00 - 17:00
Effective CPD is as much about impactful delivery, as it is about high-quality content and resources. We would like to invite you to attend a free workshop from The Key, which will unpack the principles of effective adult learning.
Are you involved with CPD training at your school?
Join David Weston from the Teacher Development Trust as he draws on the recently published Standard for teachers’ professional development to explore what effective training looks like and how to deliver impactful CPD.
A former maths and physics teacher (MEng (Oxon) ALCM PGCE) with nine years’ experience, David founded the Trust in 2012. He writes and speaks widely in media and at conferences and advises ministers and policy makers around professional development.
This free workshop will focus on the principles of effective CPD facilitation, and the skills needed to prepare and deliver impactful training in school. Meet with other facilitators, share ideas, explore best practice and learn how to boost facilitation at your school.
There will be a short introduction to the CPD Toolkit from The Key at the beginning of the afternoon, and resources from the Toolkit will be used throughout the workshop.
Light refreshments will be provided.
